Conflicting Bible Statements

I’m considering starting a new category in which I take conflicting bible verses or just plain crazy verses and “expose” it. This could be a ton of fun and a great exercise in just really how wacky Christianity is.
Here is my first attempt – “An Eye for an Eye”.
Pro “Eye for an Eye”
Genesis 9:6 – “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed.”
Exodus 21-25 – If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
Against “Eye for an Eye”
Matthew 5:38-41 – You have heard that it was said, “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.” But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as well; and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
Romans 12.19-20 – Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” No, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by doing so you will heap burning coals upon his head.”

GEN 2:17
Adam was to die the very day that he ate the forbidden fruit.
GEN 5:5
Adam lived 930 years after he ate the forbidden fruit.

I suppose you never thought to put these quotes in context. This is like cutting an editting an interview to make your interviewe say whatever you want him to. Hey dude, Go get ‘um…destroy and mock things you don’t agree with…that’s real tolerance and diversity.

Are you then saying that there are no contradictions in the bible as long as you put the passages in full context? If you believe that every book in the bible is divinely written by God through a intermediary, then this might be a valid argument. If you believe that the bible is a work by mortal men, many different men, over many long years, contradictions will obviously and rightfully abound.
I am merely bringing up contradictions of “God’s Roadmap” if you will. Its not like we are discussing the child abuse or molestation in the church. (Save that for another day) It would be very hard to label this as mocking the bible. College theology classes do this all the time. I did this when I took confirmation classes in high school. I would argue that by debating and bringing these points to light is a true test and exercise of religious diversity and could possibly make the religion stronger if/when it stands up to intense scrutiny. Don’t you think that the contradictions are too obvious to ignore?
